Industry and Community Engagement (ICE) is positioned under the Deputy Dean: Research, Innovation and Community Engagement (RICE), serving as a central Faculty-level function that strengthens connectedness and collaboration across the Faculty of Engineering.

• Supports FENG schools and research groups through industry- and community-based research projects.
• Provides support with project coordination, execution, costings, contracting, and incentive mechanisms.
• Advances community-engaged engineering projects that respond to national priorities.
• Enhances postgraduate and student development through industry-linked projects.
• Focuses on long-term, sustainable partnerships that create meaningful societal impact.
• Drives research-aligned, value-added projects that support university funding streams 2, 3, and 5.
