Guide to Authors - Poster Board Information

General Information:

Each presenter is given a standard poster board that can hold one A0 poster (84.102 x 118.097 cm). Each author is in charge of hanging and removing his or her own poster presentation. The conference staff will provide the necessary materials for attaching posters.

Poster Preparation: Design

All contributing authors' names and affiliations should be visible on the posters. It is recommended that viewers be able to read from a distance of 3 m (10 feet). The poster content should be legible and uncluttered, with a neat arrangement of photos, illustrations, and text. If necessary, use arrows or numbers to help the viewer understand the layout.

Allow for some blank space in the design and ensure that all illustrations/photos are simple, bold, and of high quality.

Poster Preparation: Lettering

All lettering should be readable from 1.5 m (5 feet) and headings would be best if legible at least 3 m (10 feet) away. The minimum type size should be 34 points, and the style should be bold, clean-looking type face (Preferably Arial or Times new Roman). The title lettering should be minimum 50 points, sub-headings 40 points and text 34 points. For consistency, please make use of the ACS reference style for the references.

Location and Schedule:
More information about the specific location(s) of posters, as well as the schedule for poster setup and removal, will be provided at a later date.

•    The abstracts are available on the website so it is not necessary to prepare handouts.
