Ethics approval must be obtained for all research proposals before a research study commences. The NWU-ENG-REC will not consider research studies for approval if it is apparent that the research has already been conducted (retrospective).

Round Robbin
In case of an urgent request for which feedback is required in between ENG-REC meeting dates, a round robin request may be submitted. Round-robin requests (where the application is sent for feedback to reviewers via e-mail) will only be accommodated on the round-robin dates shown below. All round-robin applications need to be accompanied by a letter motivating the urgency and should clearly indicate the reasons why the application needs to be dealt with before the next scheduled ENG-REC meeting.
