Are you considering studying engineering?

The NWU Faculty of Engineering hosts Engineering weeks every year during the March and June holidays, giving learners the opportunity to gain practical exposure to the different disciplines of engineering. During the Engineering week, you will eat like an NWU student, live like a NWU student, and have fun like an NWU student. Fun projects, visits to industry and campus tours will help you to learn more about Engineering and the exceptional NWU student life.

The dates of the 2 Engineering Weeks in 2020 are as follows:

24-27 March

23-26 June

The application process for the Engineering Week will open by September 2019.

For any further inquiries, feel free to contact Angie Danster at (018) 299 1985 or via email at angie.danster@nwu.ac.za

General inquiries:

When do I receive the program?

The program is emailed to the parents 2 weeks before the Engineering Week takes place.

Are the children supposed to stay at Dennepark, even if we live in Potchefstroom?

Yes, the program starts very early in the morning and we want to ensure that the learners stay together as a group and partake in all the activities.

Is there an application process to join the Engineering Week?

Due to the high number of applications for the Engineering Week, a formal application process will be followed from 2020. As a minimum, leaners should have both mathematics and physical science as school subjects. A selection process will be followed based on academic performance.

How old does my child need to be to attend the Engineering Week?

16 and older
