The NWU will be hosting both an Engineering Day and Engineering Weeks in 2023.

Engineering Weeks (27 - 31 March 2023 and 10 - 14 July 2023)

Both Engineering weeks will be held at the Potchefstroom campus within the premises of our Faculty. The first one will take place from the 27th to 31st March 2023, followed by the second one from the 10th to 14th July 2023

During the Engineering Weeks, learners from grade 10 to 12 will have a unique opportunity to experience the NWU Potchefstroom for 5 days.

They will get exposure to all seven (7) of the engineering programmes presented at the NWU, namely:

  • Chemical and Minerals Engineering
  • Computer and Electronic Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Electromechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronic Engineering

 

Engineering Day (26 August 2023)

This year we will host an Engineering Day, which will take place on a Saturday, 26 August 2023. During this day learners will have the option to attend one of the following sessions:

  • Chemical and Minerals Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer and Electronic Engineering, and Mechatronic Engineering (one session for all three programmes)
  • Mechanical Engineering and Electromechanical Engineering (one session for both programmes)

The cost of attending this Engineering Saturday will soon be shared. This will includes lunch, light snacks, a T-shirt, as well as all activities (fun projects). If you cannot afford this, please register anyway. There are sponsorships available for achievers.
