How to apply

If you meet the minimum admission requirements and seek further details regarding the application process for any of these programs, click here.

What to do if you do not meet the minimum requirements?

If you fall short of the minimum requirements in Mathematics and Physical Science, as well as the required APS score, you are still encouraged to apply for engineering studies. Access to engineering programs is facilitated through alternative articulation routes, contingent upon program availability. These alternative routes include:

  1. The Engineering Test:
Prospective engineering students who have finished Grade 12 but do not fulfill the minimum admission criteria can apply to take the Engineering Test to enroll for a BEng degree. The test can only be undertaken upon receiving an invitation from the selection committee after applying. Click here for more information on the Engineering Test.

  2. Xcel-programme
The Xcel-programme allows matriculants to rewrite Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Sciences to improve their marks and re-apply for engineering programmes. For more information on the Xcel-programme, click here
